Ms. Osborn, our STEM coordinator and teacher, started at CNE Middle School in the science department. Want to know more? We asked Ms. Osborn a few questions; her answers are below.
In which Hogwarts house would you be sorted? Gryffindor, of course. :)
What’s a typical Saturday night like for you? Playing cards with friends or playing board games or video games with the kids. We usually stay up late and have snacks.
What is your spirit animal? A horse.
What song do you know all the lyrics to? Dolly Parton's 9 to 5
What kind of driver were you when you first got your license? I was a careful driver except for speed. My first car was missing the needle for the speedometer! I never knew how fast I was going.
If you could pass on any wisdom to your students, what would you share? I would pass on my grandmother’s wisdom. TINSFDP - There is No Substitute For Daily Preparation She included this on a weekly letter she sent me during my 4 years at Ohio State. Doing a little bit of preparing for the future each day makes a huge difference.
What are your “trapped on a desert island” books or movies? My “trapped on a desert island” movie would be the Harry Potter series. If I need to be specific number 4 - The Goblet of Fire. My books would be all the books from my favorite author; Richard Paul Evans.
How do you spend your summer breaks? I spend my summers traveling with family and catching up on home projects. We swim, boat, hike and do other outdoor activities together.
What are some pets you’ve had or would like to own? I would like to own a Bernese Mountain dog. I’ve owned dogs, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, fish and rabbits.
