Our own assistant principal, Mrs. Young, started at CNE more than 25 years ago teaching middle school social studies. She's a University of Cincinnati fan and loves Harry Potter. Over the years, she has held other positions, but Mrs. Young will always be a teacher at heart. Let's find out a little bit more about our favorite assistant principal.
What are some of your hidden talents: sewing & kayaking
What would the students be surprised to find out about you? I've met one President and one Vice-President of the United States.
What's a typical Saturday night? hanging out at home or camping
How often do you accidently start talking social studies at home? I talk about certain time periods in history.
What is your dream vacation? Scotland & Ireland
In which Hogwarts house would you be sorted? Hufflepuff
What is your first memory from school? walking home from school in first grade
What makes a "good day" at school? When I get to spend time with students. I like to talk to them and make connections by remembering their interests.
What's a school sport you enjoy watching? Basketball
Did you see the new Star Wars on opeing night? No, but I've seen all the Star Wars movies many times.
What memories do you have from the first movie you ever saw in theatres? Saw Robert Redford at a drive-in in the movie Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid.
What quote do you live by? "It is what it is." OR "Walk by faith not by sight."
What wisdom would you pass on to your students? Have courage to try new things.
