MVP Awards

Each month, CNE Elementary staff members are encouraged to recognize fellow staff members for their contribution to the overall good. MVPs display excellence in their contributions to the group effort.  A TEAM player is a person who willingly works in cooperation with others. This month, Mrs. Amy Becker nominated her fellow fifth grade teammates.  She wrote, "I'd like to nominate Misty Roeper, Jennifer Barber, Cari Mullins, and Deb Langdon for TEAM player.  With their expertise and flexibility, we were able to provide small group interventions to the entire 5th grade during Reading class.  This is an idea that had been in the works for years and we were finally able to successfully implement it!"

Occupational therapist, Ashley Caskey, and mental health specialist, Kim Kirk, were both nominated for Most Valuable Player by Mrs. Amanda Beuke.

Ashley Caskey- has been such an asset to the team at CNE.  This year she has been working with providing a few of my students that are not significant enough to require OT services intervention on a weekly basis.  These 15 minutes are so valuable to enhancing my student's ability and willingness to write.  The activities she plans are thoughtful and she teaches us things that we can implement throughout the week to strengthen their pencil grasps and reinforce skills.

Kim Kirk- man oh man she is truly a breath of fresh air.  She is so knowledgeable in her field of expertise and is a wealth of information.  She has really stepped up to provide feedback and tools that we can use with our kiddos to better meet their needs.  She has even provided the Rocket Junior staff thoughtful praise and simple ideas to go beyond cognitive behavior therapy and reach deeper needs in the therapy realm through classroom experiences.  Her explanations are simplified to allow the kids and staff to better understand the why of what we are seeing.  We are really looking forward to including some group presentations to help the kids with bigger takeaways too!
