Our 16th annual Harvest for Hunger food collection broke records! CNE Elementary collected over 2,700 items in this food drive that will benefit local organizations and families. Third grade students and families brought in the most canned items and toiletries with almost 1,000 items just from one grade level. The overwhelming kindness shown by our families who made donations is super appreciated by the recipients. Items will be shared with local food pantries, including CNE Cares, St. Louis/St. Vincent de Paul Society, and Owensville United Methodist Church. The homeroom that brought in the most items per grade level will receive a special treat. Winning classrooms are K-Mrs. Moore, 1-Mrs. Stein, 2-Mrs. Benson, 3-Mrs. Brock, 4-Mrs. Wood, and 5-Mrs. Barber.
Thanks to all the students and families who supported our efforts to help our neighbors.
