What would the students be surprised to find out about you? I used to belong to a clogging group and danced at many state fairs, hoedowns at East Fork, and county fairs.
What is your dream vacation? A secluded cabin with my family in the mountains.
How do you spend your summer breaks? Planning vacations outdoors with my family. I love spending as much time with my husband, daughters, and grandchildren as possible.
What are your “trapped on a desert island” books or movies? I love reading any books about hikers who hike the 2,000 mile Appalachian Trail.
If you won the lottery and decided to give up teaching, what would you do instead? Spend my days outside, hiking, walking on a beach, mowing, or kayaking.
What makes a ‘good day’ at school? Always getting a hug from a student.
What accomplishment fills you with pride so far this year? We had our biggest book fair ever this past fall and can’t wait for the next one.
If you could pass on any wisdom to your students, what would you share? Always act your best because people will always remember things that you did in school and how you treated others.
If you could take the students on a field trip to anywhere in the world, where would you take them? On a nice hike to the mountains.
