A friend of CNE Elementary's recently participated in The Honor Flight as a guardian and was made aware of the shortage of the appreciation letters/cards/drawings that the organization keeps on hand to give veterans who may not otherwise receive letters from family and friends. Therefore, CNE Elementary is asking for some participation from the community and/or students in order to replenish their supply. For all that these veterans have given, it’s a small gesture to make them aware of our community’s gratitude and appreciation. If you would like to participate, we will gladly gather the letters/cards and get them to The Honor Flight organizers for distribution for the upcoming trips. Just send letters or cards to the Elementary and will make sure they are delivered to The Honor Flight organizers. Letters and/or cards can also be dropped off or mailed to Cedar Trace Golf Club.
