Gillis sat down with Mrs. Wood and answered a few questions with help from his humans, Cooper and Nora Dorsey.
What is one of your hidden talents? Peek-a-boo under Mr. Dorsey’s legs, I can turn off lights(still working on the turning on part) hide and seek champion.
What’s a typical Saturday night like for you? I like to run around crazy-like.
What is your dream vacation? Me time, I just like to have my own space sometimes after the excitement of the day.
What makes a ‘good day’ at school?Kids make me happy! I know where the special treats are in each building and how to get the special people to give me those treats
So many students admire you. How do you make those connections? Everywhere I go, humans are drawn to me. They stop what they are doing to say hello and give me a scratch. I’m so floofy! What can I say, I turn heads.
What’s a sport or activity you enjoy? I really like tennis balls and frisbees, but I don’t like to bring them back. I take them to my special spot for safe keeping.
If you could take the students on a field trip to anywhere in the world, where would you take them? Well, I’m going to the beach this summer, but I don’t like water. I’ve never been there before so I’ll have to let you know after my trip.
What kind of driver were you when you first got your license?Terrible!
What is your spirit animal? A cat- I like to nap in the sun.
What might people not know about you? I really like juicy gossip, but drums and air brakes scare me.
What is your favorite thing? Absolutely my bed behind the couch, it’s my space. I also like taking long walks.
