Kindergarten went on a field trip 10/14/22 to Shaw Farms! The students were able to experience going on a tractor hay ride through the fields and halloween decorations. We then went into the oldest barn on the farm to learn all about the different plants, vegetables and fruit that they grow on the farm. We learned the life cycle of pumpkins and gourds and what to even do with a gourd once it is dried out such as creating instruments! The Kindergarteners then learned that a baby alpaca is called a Cria and even got to meet the newest member on the farm (the brand new baby Cria) and check out the other various animals Shaw Farms had such as llamas, pigs, and goats. We ended our day with being able to pick out our very own pumpkin!
