Dr. Sharon (Titus) Averwater

A Dedicated Community Servant

Sharon graduated from Clermont Northeastern High School in 1978. After graduating, Sharon went to Eastern Kentucky University where she earned a degree in Elementary Education. She served in many roles as a professional educator including as a teacher at CNE Elementary, Gifted-Student Coordinator, Director of Personnel, and Assistant Superintendent at the Clermont County Educational Service Center. While working tirelessly to educate her students, Sharon continued to learn herself earning a master's degree from Northern Kentucky University and a doctorate from the Ohio State University.

After a career that spanned over 30 Sharon retired, although her desire to serve the community only continued to grow. Sharon became active in the Clermont County chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, a group of active and retired educators. As a member, Sharon mentored new teachers and raised money for scholarships and local community organizations. Sharon was also an active member of the CNE Cares organization and her church. Additionally, Sharon was elected to the Clermont County Educational Service Center where she continued to have a positive impact on the education of students county-wide.
