Rocket Nation: We are pleased to announce that, pending Board of Education approval, Mr. Ryan Smith will be the CNE Rockets next head girls basketball coach. Coach Smith brings nearly a decade of coaching experience at the youth, AAU, and high school levels, including his recent role as a varsity assistant for the CNE girls program. He has coached on competitive boys’ AAU circuits with Ohio Primetime and Midwest Basketball Club and spent eight seasons developing players in the Milford Basketball program. In addition to coaching, Smith is a teacher at CNE middle school, has served on the Milford Basketball Association board for five years, including two as Treasurer, where he led youth nights, skills camps, and community programs. Smith is passionate about building a program centered on commitment, resilience, and team unity, and looks forward to leading the Rockets with a focus on growth, teamwork, and long-term success.
