Clermont Northeastern High School Welcomes New Head Boys Basketball Coach, Brian Lawhon
Pending Board of Education approval, Clermont Northeastern Schools is proud to announce the hiring of Brian Lawhon as the new Head Coach of the Boys Basketball program. With over 22 years of coaching experience at both the high school and collegiate levels, Coach Lawhon brings a wealth of knowledge, passion, and a winning pedigree to the CNE basketball community.
Coach Lawhon has previously served as Head Coach at CHCA and Little Miami for a combined six seasons. At CHCA, he was named MVC Coach of the Year and District 16 Southwest Coach of the Year and led the program to its first-ever Sweet 16 appearances with an impressive 23-3 record. His track record includes mentoring the district 16 Southwest Player of the Year and building teams defined by perseverance, loyalty, and leadership.
His college coaching experience includes time at Wilmington College, Bellarmine University, and Kennesaw State, where he continued to develop athletes at a high level. As a player, Coach Lawhon had a standout career at Northern Kentucky University, earning Freshman of the Year honors and holding the school’s single-game three-point record. He is in the Athletic Hall of Famer at Sycamore High School, where he helped lead his team to back-to-back GMC championships.
Coach Lawhon is excited to join the Clermont Northeastern community and is committed to building a consistent winning tradition while preparing young men for success beyond the court.
